About

Fr. Deacon John R. Gresham, Jr.
“Orthodox Christianity is the faith taught by Jesus Christ and His Apostles handed down to believers for 2,000 years. Africans from Carthage, Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, Nubia, and Numidia were an important part of the earliest Christian communities. For a number of reasons, African Americans and Orthodox congregations have ignored each other. It’s time for the ignorance to end by bringing the ancient faith and Black Americans together.“
Fr. Deacon John is a life-long Christian who has served as a Baptist Pastor and an Association Moderator. He is currently serving as a Deacon and Teacher in the Eastern Orthodox Church through the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America and the Fellowship of St. Moses the Black.
